Default Grading Basis Thresholds in UVACanvas

The information on this page is mainly intended for faculty as they set the appropriate grading scales for their courses.

The Export Grades to SIS tool in UVACanvas converts numerical scores to letter or other grades using grading scales called Grading Bases as shown below.

Instructors are responsible for reviewing the default values in the Export Grades to SIS tool and modifying them to reflect the appropriate grading scale(s) for the course as determined by the instructor and/or the department.

To modify the grading scale(s) for your courses, follow the steps for adjusting grading bases in the LTS help portal.

Contact the LTS team for assistance with calculating or exporting grades in UVACanvas.

Default Threshold is the minimum score needed for corresponding letter grade.
